Book Dragon: Choose Your Scent
Book Dragon: Choose Your Scent
Calling all book dragons! I'm so excited to finally share this with you. Our newest candle has arrived, and it's pure magic. This beauty is twice the size of our standard jars and sparkles just like the scales of our favorite (very real, obviously) dragons.
And the best part? You get to choose your own scent!
Scent options:
Option 1 (Earthy/Floral)
Lavender, pear, sage, rose, palo santo, patchouli. This is a brand new complex scent that can only be described as the smell of a black sand desert after a storm, softened with deep floral notes. It's grounding, a little wild, and one of Lauren's new favorites.
Option 2 (Aromatic/Fruity)
Grapefruit, mint, lavender, and soft green herbs. This brand new scent is bright, juicy, and refreshing. Layers of lavender and subtle herbal notes add depth and a spa-like calm, keeping it crisp, slightly sweet, and beautifully balanced between citrus and green earthiness.
Size and Materials: 10oz of 100% soy wax in a 14oz glass jar in color "multichrome" or "iridescent". The iridescent candle jar comes with a brown bamboo lid. The multichrome jar comes with a flat metal black lid.
Shipping & Production: Because every candle is made to order, your purchase will ship once it has been poured, fully cured, and packaged. The anticipated shipping window is 2-3 week after your order is received.

Candle Care & Safety
Candle Care & Safety
Burn Time
You will maximize the burn time of your candle if you take proper care of it. With proper care, you can expect the following burn times:
- Tealights (Burn Time ~3-4 hrs)
- 2oz candles (Burn Time ~12-16 hrs)
- 4oz candles (Burn Time ~18-24 hrs)
- 7oz candles (Burn Time ~30-40 hrs)
- 14oz candles (Burn Time ~60-80hrs)
To make sure your candle burns beautifully and lasts as long as possible, here’s what you need to know.
Caring For Your Candle & Safety
1. Trim Your Wick
Before every burn, trim the wick to about ¼ inch. This helps prevent soot, mushrooming, and uneven burning. (Bonus: it makes your candle burn cleaner and last longer.)
2. Let the Wax Pool
On your first burn, let the melted wax reach all the way to the edges of the jar before blowing it out - usually about 2-3 hours. This prevents tunneling (where wax builds up along the sides and you lose hours of burn time).
3. Keep It Clean
If you see any soot or debris on the surface, carefully remove it once the wax is cool. A clean surface ensures a smoother burn and better scent throw.
4. Don’t Over-Burn
Keep each burn session around 3-4 hours max. Longer burns can cause your wick to “mushroom” and shorten the life of your candle.
5. Store It Smart
When not in use, store your candle in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. This helps preserve both the wax and the scent. Keep the cover on, if possible.
6. Safety First
Always burn on a heat-safe surface, keep away from drafts, and never leave your candle unattended. (We love obsession, but not the fiery kind.)
Handcrafted Product
Handcrafted Product
Every candle is designed, crafted, tested, poured, cured, wicked, labeled, and packaged by Lauren in her Seattle-area home.
Because these are true small‑batch candles made with 100% soy wax, natural variations like frosting, minor texture changes, or slight color differences may appear.
These shifts don’t affect performance; they’re simply the mark of a truly handcrafted, small‑batch product.
Understanding Fragrance Families
Understanding Fragrance Families
Fragrance families group scents by their shared characteristics (e.g. floral, aromatic, woody, earthy, gourmand, and more.)
If you know which families you’re drawn to, you’ll have an easier time choosing candles that match your mood, your space, and your personal scent style.
