Lauren is the scent sorceress behind the woman-owned side hustle, Slow Burn Handmade Candles. She launched her first candle line in August 2025, and continues to make each product in her Seattle-area home (aka the "candle factory!")
Lauren lives in these stories with you, and loves the ache, tension, and slow burn of every unforgettable story. She has a relentless desire for accuracy when capturing the essence of our favorite characters.
Each candle is made with a custom recipe, meticulously tested and perfected over time. If you’ve ever fallen in love with someone who doesn’t exist (yet), you’re in the right place.

Premium Craftmanship
Every candle is designed, crafted, tested, hand-poured, cured, wicked, labeled, and packaged by Lauren. We use natural 100% soy wax sourced in the United States.
All premium fragrance oils used in our custom candle recipes are: vegan, cruelty-free, formulated without phthalates, and adhere to RIFM and IFRA standards for safety and purity.
Meet Megumi
Have you seen our gorgeous, handmade, wood-burned lids?
Megumi is a dear friend and the talented artist behind our stunning wood-burned lids. She is a voracious reader and introduced me to The Zodiac Academy series (which, if you didn’t know, is one of my favs!)
Beyond her artistry, she’s been the biggest sounding board and cheerleader in bringing this little dream to life - offering wisdom, advice, and encouragement every step of the way. These candles truly carry a piece of her heart as well as mine.
