Are you accepting author collaboration requests?

First of all, I'm honored!

Yes, Slow Burn Handmade Candles works with authors through official licensing partnerships to create character-inspired candle collections.

Due to the time and depth involved in each collection, the first step is always to contact me to check if I have availability for new collaborations. If there is space, the next step would be for me to read your book or series to determine if it feels like a creative fit for the brand.

Because each collection is personally developed and story-inspired, I only move forward with stories I have read and feel genuinely connected to.

Do you accept returns or exchanges?

Because each candle is hand-poured in small batches, all sales are final. However, if your candle arrives damaged or there's an issue with your order, please reach out within 7 days and I’ll make it right.

My candle arrived broken - what now?

Oh no! That’s not the vibe. Please send a photo of the damaged candle and packaging to slowburnseattle@gmail.com, and I’ll replace it or offer a refund depending on availability.

Are all of your products officially licensed?

Yes. Every character candle we create is officially licensed in partnership with authors. These collections are developed with permission from the original creators, and a portion of each purchase is paid to them as royalties. Our “bookish” scents are general-inspired and not tied to specific licensing agreements.

Do you take custom orders?

Not at the moment, but I’m flattered you asked! Custom scents or labels may be available in the future, especially for bulk/gifting orders, so feel free to reach out if you have something special in mind.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, but with a caveat! If you’re outside the U.S. and would like to place an order, please email me directly for a shipping estimate. I want to be as transparent as possible about costs and options, and for my initial launch, it’s easiest to handle international orders on a case-by-case basis.

When will my order ship?

Your order will ship after it has been processed and made. Please allow approximately 2–3 weeks for processing after your order is accepted. Once your order ships, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information.

What are your candles made of?

Our candles are made with natural 100% soy wax sourced in the United States. All of our unique scents are formulated with phthalate-free fragrances that adhere to RIFM and IFRA standards for safety and purity. They’re hand-poured with care - usually while I'm listening to an audiobook!
