This collection is the result of months of scent development, testing, and label design, all with the goal of bringing Dire Bound and Fury Bound to life through scent. From the fragrances to the label designs, every detail was intentionally created to help readers experience the story in a whole new way.

Stark

Stark's scent is described as "wood, amber, and musk". I leaned into the amber and layered his scent with smoky cedar to create a blend that is unmistakably him. Sexy, alluring, warm, and commanding without trying. Smoky cedar adds a rugged edge that reminds you that Alpha Stark is the most powerful presence in any room.

Meryn

Described as "strawberries and sparkling emberwine," Meryn's scent was one of the hardest - but most fun - to create. I paired juicy strawberry and blood orange with sparkling notes of champagne, red currant, and citrus, to bring Meryn's emberwine scent to life. This scent is it sophisticated and balanced, and beautifully fruity, but not overly sweet.

Anassa

Anassa's scent is never described in the book, which gave me the freedom to create a fragrance inspired by the way she made me feel as a reader.  For her scent, I leaned into the qualities that made me fall in love with her character: her patience, steadfast loyalty, unwavering devotion, warm yet fierce presence, and the grounding wisdom she embodies. Warm vanilla, golden amber, soft musk, and delicate jasmine create a fragrance that feels comforting and refined. 

  • Fragrance notes: vanilla, amber, jasmine, coconut, patchouli
  • Overall vibe: amber, gourmand

Cratos

Cratos' scent is never described in the book, which gave me the freedom to create a fragrance inspired by the impression he left on me as a reader. He's watchful, fiercely loyal, and always ready with a sarcastic comment. He feels like a giant teddy bear who would absolutely rip your throat out to protect his pack and the people he loves. Warm, rich, and deeply comforting, this fragrance strikes the perfect balance between strength and softness.

  • Overall vibe: woody, gourmand

Candle Care & Safety

Burn Time

You will maximize the burn time of your candle if you take proper care of it. With proper care, you can expect the following burn times:

  • Tealights (Burn Time ~3-4 hrs)
  • 2oz candles (Burn Time ~12-16 hrs)
  • 4oz candles (Burn Time ~18-24 hrs)
  • 7oz candles (Burn Time ~30-40 hrs)
  • 14oz candles (Burn Time ~60-80hrs)

To make sure your candle burns beautifully and lasts as long as possible, here’s what you need to know.

Caring For Your Candle & Safety

1. Trim Your Wick

Before every burn, trim the wick to about ¼ inch. This helps prevent soot, mushrooming, and uneven burning. (Bonus: it makes your candle burn cleaner and last longer.)

2. Let the Wax Pool

On your first burn, let the melted wax reach all the way to the edges of the jar before blowing it out - usually about 2-3 hours. This prevents tunneling (where wax builds up along the sides and you lose hours of burn time).

3. Keep It Clean

If you see any soot or debris on the surface, carefully remove it once the wax is cool. A clean surface ensures a smoother burn and better scent throw.

4. Don’t Over-Burn

Keep each burn session around 3-4 hours max. Longer burns can cause your wick to “mushroom” and shorten the life of your candle.

5. Store It Smart

When not in use, store your candle in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. This helps preserve both the wax and the scent. Keep the cover on, if possible.

6. Safety First

Always burn on a heat-safe surface, keep away from drafts, and never leave your candle unattended. (We love obsession, but not the fiery kind.)

Our candles are hand-poured using natural 100% soy wax sourced in the United States.

All premium fragrance oils used in our candle recipes are:

  • Vegan

  • Formulated without phthalates
  • Adhere to RIFM and IFRA standards for safety and purity

Handcrafted Product

Every candle is designed, crafted, tested, poured, cured, wicked, labeled, and packaged by Lauren in her Seattle-area home.

Because these are true small‑batch candles made with 100% soy wax, natural variations like frosting, minor texture changes, or slight color differences may appear.

These shifts don’t affect performance; they’re simply the mark of a truly handcrafted, small‑batch product.
